Reiterating commitment of his party to formulate a comprehensive policy for the over-all growth and upliftment of the far-flung backward areas, patron of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Mufti Mohammad Sayeed today regretted that lopsided policies propagated by the successive governments have deprived opportunities of development and growth to the huge chunk of the population.
He reminded the people that it was during the three years tenure of PDP that the policy of inclusive growth and development was implemented which yielded very encouraging results.
Addressing series of public meetings at Gool, Ladha, Ladh, Chehweh and Daram areas of Reasi district in support of party candidates, Mufti assured the people that besides accelerating developmental activities in this most backward and poverty stricken areas of Jammu and Kashmir, PDP would also political empower ethnic and religious minorities of this belt to provide them equal opportunities. “Ensure victory of PDP candidates I will give representation to members of minority community in the Legislative Council”, Mufti promised, amidst shouting of pro-PDP slogans by huge gathering of the people.
