Large number of people joins PDP in Leh

Leh: A large number of people particularly the youth Monday joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at Disket in Leh in presence of Tashi Gyalson, district president and the party’s candidate for Nubra constituency. Tsering Phunchok, zone president was also present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion the new entrants said only the PDP and its leadership has the vision for the overall development and peace in the state. They said the party has proved it credentials well during its brief stint in the government in which all the regions of the state were treated equally on economic, developmental and social fronts. They said the present National Conference –led coalition government has badly failed in its duty to provide people any relief over the last six years.

On the occasion Tashi Gyalson constituted coordination and working committee for the coming assembly elections. Thukje Rabgias from Skampuk has been nominated as its co- chairman and Phunchok Dorjey from Hunder as president. Tsewang Stobgais ( Anju) is nominated as youth president for Nubra Zone.

The party also constituted a women wing and Rigzen Dolma from Hunder is nominated as president. Former Councilor Sh. Ghulam Chatapa and Sh. Tsering Norphel a renowned social worker from Nubra along with hundreds of women, youth and representative from different villages were also welcomed into the party fold.
