Srinagar: Senior Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader and MLA Tral, Mushtaq Ahmad Shah has demanded reservation for Sikh community of the state in government jobs.
Raising the issue in the Legislative Assembly (LA) during zero hour, he said Sikh community is an important segment of our society and being in minority they deserve reservation in government jobs. He said the community has suffered a systematic neglect at the hands of the National Conference and Congress over the decades and it is high time that we should strive for their full empowerment.
